Since the company was founded in 1980, we've enjoyed steady growth while maintaining the spirit and enthusiasm of a small company. We started out doing both residential and commercial remodeling. We also have considerable expertise, as well as on-going business, in custom home foundations, framing and trim.

How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
From the start, Jerry combined his educational background in business and accounting with practical, on-the-job experience as a carpenter and job superintendent. The company has grown slowly and steadily, but always based on Jerry's interest in taking on a variety of different construction projects. This flexibility has kept the company financially stable, even in slow economic times. As an employer, Jerry is also committed to providing a work environment that encourages continued growth and interesting work for everyone on staff. This attitude has helped him earn long-term and much valued loyalty from a great team of professionals.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
What Sets GL Perry Apart? As you make the final decision on a contractor please consider the following points: Most contractors ask for money up front or before work is completed. We don't. G. L. Perry Construction is financially sound, and we have many longstanding accounts with our suppliers and subcontractors. A good indication of how a contractor does business is how they perform on the bid. Our bids are delivered in a timely manner, at your convenience. Our bid is complete. We show more attention to detail, and we bid to the plan specifications and your input. G. L. Perry Construction takes pride in the following We are more punctual, more responsible, and cleaner than most contractors. We treat unexpected extras (termite damage/city changes/etc.) more fairly than other contractors. We have office staff to help the job run more smoothly, provide a central communication base and keep more current on charges, payments and lein releases. We have the proper tools, inventory, and skilled personnel. We have over 30 years of experience as a licensed contractor in good standing, and a diversity of talents. We will work with other subcontractors you provide if it will help the budget, or we will seek out lower bids to accomplish the same. We are the choice of other contractors as well. About half of our business comes by providing services to them. We are fully insured with both workers compensation insurance and liability insurance.
